"We wanted to like this Motel 6 - price, location near Joshua Tree National Park. The condition of the property just would not permit this unfortunately. We had to wipe down surfaces before placing our things on them. The bathtub looked like someone had been cooking meth in it! The MASSIVE cockroaches we killed were the final straw. We recommend spending a few extra dollars and staying elsewhere. "

"The room was a great location for our visit to Joshua Tree National Park. Access to the north entrance, which is the less busy one, is quick and easy. It allowed us to do star gazing and a sunrise easily. The mattresses are super comfortable as is all the living areas. Danielle is super communicative and check in and out were very easy. I would definitely stay here again. "

"We had the most comfortable, relaxing stay at the Casa de la Tortuga! The large pool is glorious after half a day in the hot sun exploring nearby Joshua Tree National Park. And in the evening, when it cools down, the hot tub (which is very hot!) is a wonderful place to stargaze. The house is well appointed and very clean, with all the extras you'd expect from a hotel, like k-cup coffee, individually wrapped tooth brushes w/toothpaste, fluffy white towels and designated pool towels. Beds are comfy and have nice sheets and comforters. We loved the proximity to JT National Park (one turn and then about 5 miles straight down the road), downtown Twentynine Palms (the cool part), and all the fun art in Wonder Valley (4 miles down the highway). The internet is fast and reliable, if you need to work like my husband did. I loved having doors that open directly out to the pool from the primary bedroom. Almost forgot--the gas firepit out back is wonderful to gather around and easy to use. You really don't have to leave the backyard to have a great time... but you should take advantage of the easy access to everything that this house offers!"

"Super cute and clean home down the street from the northeast entrance of Joshua Tree National Park! Super convenient for visiting the park! We really appreciated having a kitchen and backyard to relax in after a day of hiking. We enjoyed the hot tub. There is also a pool which was a little too cold to use during our stay. Highly recommend "

"The photos of the house were a bit deceptive. I would describe the house as just old, very outdated & not well-maintained. Rust, gunky bathroom faucets & soap dispenser, dust bunnies, sagging cabinets, well worn rugs. No shade in the backyard. Traffic is rather loud from the front bedroom. Laundry is listed as an amenity, but may not have been available for guest use - - host didn’t reply to my inquiry to verify. The listing states that street parking is ample, however, a park ranger scolded us for parking on the street. Beds were comfy. Location is very conveniently close to entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Checkout process was simple. Checkin process required the old fashioned lockbox with keys. Restrictions to AC temp settings."

"This modern build home was a sweet escape from LA. It was super clean and beautifully decorated to make us feel relaxed and comfortable. Joshua tree national park entrance and tortoise rock casino were nearby for outdoor adventures and social activities. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Communication with the host was great. Absolutely loved our time at this spot. "
