"Was not informed of the building work going on outside the building at the back when we checked in. Was very noisy from 8.20 and there was also work going on in the room next and woke us up with the noise. Not sure if there were refurbishing it "

Best amenities for a brief stay if you're planning on spending a lot of time out and just need a clean, safe, close place to crash. Loved it"

"The hotel was a massive structure and it would be quite easy to get a bit lost finding your way around it! That said, the hotel itself was located in a lovely area and very convenient to public transport, good eating and some lovely parks Two drawbacks of the hotel were the extremely long wait for check in and the fact that they chose one of the busiest weekends in London in the sporting calendar to repaint two of their lifts - considering that each bank of elevators had only 4 (very small)...

I asked for a high floor and view if possible, both of which they were able to give me. A few things could have made the stay better .... Not the same amenities as you'd find in similarly priced compact hotels very close by e.g. Kettle/Coffee Machine, bottle of water/water fountain, TV, shelf/caddy in...

There were no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms which was not great. The price was good and I slept fairly well here. "

"What we loved most about The Tavistock was the convenience. We took the tube directly from Heathrow to Russel Square. The hotel was a few minutes walk. We also walked to Euston Station and Kings Cross. We enjoyed many restaurants and pubs as well. All within walking distance. "
