"My stay in Hotel St. James last Sunday was great overall! The staff was friendly and helpful, the bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom was 1A no complaints there. The only downsides were that there was no fridge in the room (that’s fine because I think it was not part of the amenities), and I didn’t see a microwave anywhere on the property (that’s also fine because I didn’t asked if there was any). VERY IMPORTANT THE ROOM WAS NOT SOUNDPROOF (ONE LITERALLY CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM OUTSIDE AND VICEVERSA) Also, the elevators are quite old and shaky, and they take forever to get from one floor to another. Other than that, everything was great, and I enjoyed my stay! 10/10 regardless"

"This completely new renovation of the former Milford Plaza is a total success. Its Times Square location remains peerless but it has been completely refurbished, redesigned and refreshed. The lobby is chic and very comfortable with a fine bar and small cafe providing a lovely breakfast and coffee menu. The rooms are spacious for a midtown Manhattan hotel and comfy. The only criticism I have with the room I had (not sure if this is the case with all of them - you might want to ask) but the toilet in the bathroom was in a very tight space and made for a highly awkward squeeze. I can only assume this wouldn't be a problem for someone more petite than I. Otherwise the service thruout the Hotel was gracious and it is currently very affordable. I would heartily recommend the Hotel for a Times Square stay."
