"Pam at the front desk was very helpful as was the front desk woman the evening before when we checked in. The place needs a paint job, pressure washing and a do over. Not a bad location but not a five star joint!!! Give it two stars."

"We enjoyed our stay. The place has a cool vibe. We liked the little beach area, pool and easy walk to the water taxi. Our room was nice enough. We had room 215 which was a “harbor view” room, we could see the next door beach club swimming pool. The beds were nice, I would’ve preferred less giant pillows and a couple of standard sized pillows. 6 lg pillows per queen sized bed is too many! I liked the bar and grill, nice staff and ok bar food. The hotel could use a few nice vending machines....

"This is a great hotel. Clean, well appointed and staff is well trained and helpful. Daily breakfast ans wine a cheese are a nice added touch. I’ve stayed here a number of times. Only issue is the noise from air conditioning. Makes sleeping difficult. If that could corrected it would be prefect."

"The staff have excellent customer service and the buffet breakfast is a rare find anymore and was great! The only cons were the room had a weird layout and the pool water was too cold and doesn't see much sun throughout the day."

"Excellent location. Just a few minutes walk to the market, carriage rides, and great dining. The amenities were excellent and rooms amazing. Traveled with children, and the room was the perfect size. Would definitely recommend for families and couples."

"The views are breathtaking. It’s a perfect blend of history with beautiful gardens. The historians at Middleton did such a great job to honor and share past stories, making this vacation not only a relaxing one, but also interesting. We enjoyed the weather greatly, the nightly snacks and drinks were a great addition- what a way to share a sunset on our anniversary trip! We might not be back right away, but will tell others to visit- 100% recommend as a relaxing adult getaway."

"I would not recommend this hotel. We chose it due to its location (close to Charleston), pool and breakfast. However it was difficult to appreciate due to disappointments we encountered. We arrived at the appropriate check-in time to find that 2 of our 3 rooms were not ready. "Our flight out of Charleston was canceled at 8 PM one night so we booked the Drury and wish we could’ve stayed several more nights. The hotel has a great breakfast, a wonderful swimming area with hot tub, and the rooms are immaculate. Plus the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. The room we booked was not available when we got there so we were upgraded to a king suite. It made our flight delay and all that goes with that much more bearable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough."

"When I check in on Thursday, there was a sign saying that there would be no housekeeping services for the next few days. By the time I left on Sunday, the one trash can in the room was overflowing. The property needs an overhaul. There were years of wear in the tub/shower, the carpets, the chairs, etc."

This is not a luxury hotel (you will see tiny things that should be taken care of, like a hole that is patched but not painted) but it feels safe and clean and the staff is nice.
