"Quaint old building, beautiful woodwork. The different floor levels, including in our room, could be a trip/fall hazard for older people. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly."

"Nice views of harbour from front windows. House had a musty smell and was showing its age. Bit of water damage one the ceiling of one of the bedrooms was a bit off putting. Owner was helpful with questions. "

"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."
