"Exceptional place to stay in Hakone, Highly recommended, a lot of things to do for kids including the indoor water park - only giving 4 out of 5 stars due to early check out times, we requested for 10-15 mins extra but was told we have to pay,
Apart from that an excellent place, will stay again here"

Enjoy the hot springs and explore Nishihirahata Park, a lovely green space in Matsuda. Stroll along the lakeside or discover the mountain views in this culturally rich area.
I really enjoyed the welcoming front office staff. They were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean and spacious and unfortunately they were out of nonsmoking rooms so we had to book a smoking room We wish there were more nonsmoking rooms available. But everything else was amazing. We will definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to our friends.

The hotel was luxury at its finest. The staff was very helpful always always nice. We felt comfortable and never felt like the staff was judging us or trying to make things difficult. Our room was shaking with our own private onsen. That was amazing and a well deserved break in between our Tokyo vacation to just relax.

A beautiful property on Lake Ashinoko with stunning views of Mt Fuji. Extremely close to the rope-way that takes you up to the shrine on the mountain with even more breathtaking views. I loved this hotel, wish I could stay longer. Lovely common areas to relax both indoors and outdoors, free drinks and snacks, alcoholic at night, as well as a lovely array of desserts in the evening. Everyone walking around in their yukatas provided by the hotel gives a very relaxing vibe. I enjoyed both the communal (had it to myself) and private onsens. It was nice that the private pnsen had a window to see nature outside. The outdoor terrace with footbath was also lovely, with...

Serene and beautiful. The food was delicious…each presentation a work of art. To be able to go to the dining for breakfast and for dinner in the pajamas, that were provided fresh each day, was a treat and added to the R & R. The hot springs soaking tub on the balcony of our room was pure heaven.

In-room onsen was amazing. Had to rinse it off first though because it looked pretty worn and had leaves and a few insects in it. No issues though. Felt amazing in the onsen. Way better than having to use the public one and had a great outdoor view of Mt Fuji in the background. Outdoor shower had way better pressure than bathroom shower.

After the day being slightly hazy and enough so that we could not view Mt Fuji anywhere we were delighted to find on waking up and opening our HUGE picture window that overlooked the lake, FUGI-SAN! right there in full view perfectly clear as the view from our room.
Wonderful Hotel shuttle direct to Odawara station used to leave... If I had known that beforehand we would have also taken it from station to hotel. But we used the transport from our "Hakone free pass" which took alot longer....
