Safe location, classy hotel, helpful staff.
We were given all help needed by first time visitors of the Eternal City. We will gladly go back. Charming old building renovated with lots of gusto and attention to detail. We loved the patio.

Location was great.. very close to Villa Borghese.. rooms were large, clean and comfortable.. very safe area which is important as single mother traveling with my daughter.. only negative was noise could be heard from hallways.. it was only occasionally so not that bothersome.. special shout out to front desk Samuele, I broke my foot at Colosseum and he was very helpful in calling around to help us find a walking boot for it.. very grateful for his help since I do not speak Italian..

This hotel is listed on multiple sites as a 5 star hotel, and for me, the room and facilities aren't posh enough for that rating. I'd rate it a 4*. However, I LOVED this hotel and I had a fabulous stay. I'd easily recommend or return.
The Pros:
1. Location. It's a ten minute walk to the Spanish Steps or the Trevi Fountain or the Galleria Borghese, but it is far enough away from the city center that it was restful and quiet.
2. Ambiance. It's an older building, all the rooms are...

Grand Hotel Palace is a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the train station, the beautiful Borghese Gardens, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and other sites of interest to tourists. There are many restaurants, fancy and plain nearby. The hotel's restaurant is nice. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

Harry, who works at reception was awesome and accommodating. He gave us a map of Rome with explanations of transportation options and recommendations for walkable restaurants. All of which were delicious and authentic. The hotel helped setup taxi from the airport to the hotel on arrival and also from the hotel to the cruise port in Civitavecchia on checkout day. The hotel is available 24/7 by WhatsApp for any needs or questions while in Rome, not just hotel related questions. The hotel area felt...

Location is just minutes from the Spanish Steps but yet on a nice quiet street and very walkable to most sites. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are all freshly remodeled and very comfortable. Don't miss the rooftop pool and lounge area after a long day of sightseeing. Would absolutely stay here again.

It's conveniently located within a 10 -15 walk of the main train station. It's also relatively close to the major points of interest. There are lots of great restaurants nearby as well.
The design and decor was upscale and very clean.
I'd definitely stay there again!

Absolutely lovely. Steps aways from the Steps of Piazza Spagna, you are in the heart of the city but away from the madness. Staff is FABULOUS. Helpful and kind. Room cleaning services deserves SIX STARS, they made up our room and left it looking like a spread for an interior decoration magazine. Best housekeeping n the world. Wonderful all arounnd. Spa is world class.

I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars. Everything about the hotel was beyond our expectations. As soon as we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Multiple people came to say hello and ask if there was anything they could do to help make our stay more enjoyable. The hotel itself exudes luxury. The beds are super comfortable, the room is spacious, and the shower and amenities are amazing. After a long day of touring Rome, it is wonderful to back to this hotel. I also want to...

The Splendide staff and hotel made our stay in Rome an outstanding one. I would say the three top things about the hotel were the location, the comfortable beds and the great restaurant (both for breakfast and dinner). The location was directly across the street from the Borghese Gardens and it was also a short walk from the Spanish steps. We walked all over Rome with this as our base. If you don't choose to walk, most venues are a short cab ride away. Although we did not have a view from...

The hotel was clean and the continental breakfast was something I was looking forward having every morning. They made a fresh cappuccino for me which I have with a delightful croissant. They organized at the front desk a tour to the Vatican at the last minute for which I was very thankful. I saved hours of my time in line thanks to their very influential phone call. The structure is old but well maintained and I will certainly return there because the close location to the train station is...

Small boutique style hotel with only a few rooms. The room, balcony and bathroom were all very spacious. It was clean, well kept and modern looking. The bed was very comfortable (on the soft side) and I loved that fact that it was a full 2 meters wide.

My husband and I found this hotel recommendation on Reddit and are so glad we did! Couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else, in fact after a 3 night stay before heading to another city we booked one last night in Rome at this hotel before heading back home.
