Bar staff nice, ate in brickworks, good food, great service. Didn’t get to try pool as 830 arrival was too late for 9pm close. Lovely breakfast, good selection. Good value for two people, won’t hesitate to return. Was chosen because it was 4 minutes from where we worked, perfect and glad this was the closest hotel"

"The room was clean and comfortable enough. The location is good, and it's a pretty cool old building. As with all Greene King pubs and hotels, the wifi isn't really free since you have to fill out a form divulging a bunch of personal information to use it, which I declined to do. "

"The Haven is a very well kept and equipped property. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Parking right outside the front door. Plenty of room for two people. Just a little far to walk to any restaurant or bar. But peaceful and easy to find."

"It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place."

"Room was compact but ok Clean & warm -visited in December Safe didn’t work which may have been batteries but was an overnight stay so not a big issue Found bfast strange -started with fruit juice, cereal, toast & croissants -the latter usually served after full English. I found a hair in my scrambled egg which I’d eaten & had to remove from my mouth -not pleasant. Girl serving who was doubling as a receptionist didn’t apologise which I thought odd & asked me to put on a plate so she could show kitchen. I couldn’t eat rest of breakfast & didn’t have time to reorder even though she asked if could get me anything else. She did apologise later as we checked out. I did say not what I expected as kitchen workers wear hats -she said the chef was bald. I know these things happen unfortunately. Think bfast could do with being served at 08.00 We arrived on Sunday at 16.00 -3 places in Wickham served food but only one open at this time. The soundproofing in the room did not prevent noise from next room Would I stay again -yes -not sure I’d have breakfast though "
