"Lovely old, characterful hotel with a spa and fitness centre. Room was lovely and spacious and bed was really comfy. Bathroom had both a tub and a shower and was very clean - as expected. Food in the restaurant was delicious and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. "

"A great location for walking into the centre of Canterbury. Hotel rooms are a basic and perhaps dated, but the new bar area is very nice. Restaurant closed for refurb so can’t comment on that, but with so many good non chain restaurants just 10 minute walk away it’s not an issue at all. Staff friendly and room quiet too."

"This is an excellent pub. The service was exceptional, the food was very good and the ambience and atmosphere fantastic. This is a characterful old building with lots of books and crannies. Good beer too. The accommodation is good - a little like motel accommodation at the back of the pub in separate purpose-built buildings. It was comfortable and suited our needs well. Would definitely return. "

"Arrived early and car parking registration process explained. Very easy check-in. Staff very friendly. Hotel very clean. Room a good size and well equipped. We had breakfast in hotel which was well presented but didn’t choose to dine in hotel or use the bar. "
