"This property is directly across the street from the Nijo Train Station — with connections for buses and subways – so it was extremely convenient to get around Kyoto, without the congestion of other areas closer to Kyoto center. We had a king-size in a room with a small table and two chairs, mini-fridge, water heater, iron, hair dryer, and large tv. Comfortable and clean. The attached bathroom had a walk-in shower and a washlet on the toilet. Amenities are not super ample (no in-room coffee etc.), but are available in the lobby. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a 24-hour gym and public bath (gender segregated). The breakfast was great: it might seem more like an evening buffet, but the combination of vegetables and fruit, along with basic breakfast meats, pastries, rice, and more, was a great way to start the day. There are laundry facilities on site. Prepare to use at least 2.5 hours to wash and dry a smallish load in the wash-dry combo machines. We definitely would come back to this hotel if we come back to Kyoto for a longer stay. Of note for this locations, along with Nijo station, is the Life Supermarket, which is a block away. It was useful for stocking up on foodstuffs so that we didn’t have to depend on restaurants and cafes the whole time."
