We rented a Superior Villa with a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms but upon arriving we were surprised to see that it was a lot smaller than the photos led us to believe. It would be better for a family then 2 couples as the bedroom with the double bed only had a privacy curtain. Both rooms were open above the door so that the AC which is only in the single beds room, could cool the entire villa. We did not eat there, which is good because...

"The rooms a very unique and they property is beautiful. We had tiny bats roosting on our villa and it was fabulous to watch them swoop and dive over the river in the evening. The owner & staff were lovely although my lack of Spanish made communication difficult. There was few maintenance issues, and the room it’s self could do with a little love."

"We loved staying at Rooms and Pool Macaws. It's a beautiful, quaint stay in Uvita. We stayed with our 3 children (13,6,3). The town is rural but that adds to the charm. We walked to the Whale Tale and other places downtown. My kids loved the pool, everything was very clean. "Silvia and Ferdinando were excellent hosts. Silvia oriented us to the area and checked on tours. The property is a large garden with pool and outdoor kitchen for guests. The town is small and low key. You can walk to either beach entry. We ordered dinner at our host's Italian restaurant. Ferdinando cooked: it was wonderful. Three great courses. We were off season for whales so will try to come back to Dolce Uvita"
