"I took my mother to Mexico City for a special occasion and Gran Hotel Ciudad did not disappoint! It was a beautiful and convenient location that offered the best in Mexican luxury and hospitality. When we checked out of the hotel, the staff was very accommodating to get us a driver for our final day and to the airport. His name was Flavio and he was AMAZING!!! "It is a gorgeous hotel and a great location if you want to be in the heart of the Historic District. The property, rooms and restuarent are all stunning. I had a small issue with the AC in my room and the hotel responded promptly. I travel allot and understand that sometimes things go wrong or break. Its the way the hotel responds that matters to me. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it"

"Great location for the main sights such as Zocalo which is walkable . Don’t be put off that it’s in a street ful of electronic shops , they shut down and then the street is quiet. The staff were great , very helpful. The room was adequate, clean and very quiet . We had to ask the maid not to change the towels every day, as we didn’t think we needed fresh ones every day . We booked a tour through the front fest and it was a great trip. "

"We made the mistake of picking the cheapest room, which had only a window into an internal space. We traveled at a hot time of year and we boiled! Do yourself a favor and get a room with a street window. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We felt safe inside the hotel, but we took a walk and discovered a very sketchy neighborhood just across the street. So get a street-facing room and take a taxi at least to the park if you stay here. "
