"Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "

"This was a great place to stay in Kyoto. Lots of cafes nearby, along with convenience stores, a grocery store and bus stops. This was my first time visiting Japan and I really enjoyed my stay. The place was cozy and had everything I needed. I will definitely be back!"

"The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."
