"I’ve stayed at a RIU more than 5 times & this is the first time in Punta Cana. Their hospitality was very poor, worst I’ve ever experienced. The food wasn’t very good, actually lost weight because I didn’t eat much. Riu party was okay, only thing that saved the trip. Beaches are crowded, entertainment was ok. Took forever to get waited on, tables at buffet were always dirty when being sat "

"Extremely beautiful property. Pool layout, the castles, the beach were all great to look at. Beach was gorgeous and staff were very good at picking up and disposing of the seaweed from the beach (only so much they can do). Some of the staff were amazing and many others seemed like you were bothering them and didn't want to talk/help. That was very annoying. The buffet was great but the food was mostly just mid and a lot of it just didn't have much taste. Not unexpected since this is 100% a kids/family resort. For a kids resort they had a super small kids food section. Food at most of the restaurants was just OK. Maiko was our favorite and the Mongolian and Tex Mex places were also great. Flame, Il Paradiso were not worth going to in my opinion as the food was not that good. Internet was not good and you have to pay extra for internet that isn't much better. TV reception was terrible and not up to modern standards. What modern resort in 2026 has tv's that you can't stream on? Overall, I'd come back as despite the above that will probably be viewed as complaints it was EXTREMELY relaxing. All said and done, our family absolutely loved our time there. There were some minor inconveniences but the pool/beach and such were a total blast. The only bad thing about the pool is that they close at I think it was 6:30pm. Rather than coming back, I'd probably rather check out another one of their properties. If you have a family with young kids, this would be a fantastic choice."

"Lovely property, showing a little age, but I went for a beach vacation. I don’t go to spend time in the room. Bed was comfy, I loved the pillows. No washcloths! Wonderful staff, food was good, although repeated choices. Beach area was beautiful, need to replace some loungers. Shops in resort were pretty much all the same merchandise. I’d go again!"

"We enjoyed most of our stay by the main pool. We liked that it was where the main action was. Our family participated in many of the activities that included dancing the merengue, painting, pottery making, and rum tasting. The activities crew was great at what they did. They chose the right individuals for those positions. They were outgoing and knew how to work the crowd. The pool was nice. We decided to wait on it one day as they were still cleaning it and we chose to walk the beach instead. The bartenders by the pool were nice. We never had an issue getting chairs by the pool. Each day, we got our spots by 7:30am. We also tried the Level pool the last day. That was also very nice, but we preferred to be at the main pool. One day we did make our way over to the Kidsdom pool. The kids enjoyed the water slides. They also enjoyed Domingo....they thought he was funny!!"
