"We had a nice visit here at the Melia in Cozumel. I would give it a 9 out of 10 rating. As others have mentioned, I would recommend upgrading to the Level experience. Better food options and other amenities, plus a bigger room. Place was very clean, room was nice and chilly, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. Overall the food was quite good, but I was disappointed by one thing. Both of the hotels offer entrees where you can upgrade and get something a little more expensive or exotic....

"This place was Amazing, ocean views. The bartender on the rooftop, Israel was an amazing host. As well as Antonio and his coworkers at the front desk :) Amazing breakfast, the rooms and balconies had the perfect view of the city and the ocean. The rooftop pools and terrace was definitely something to see. Perfect location, close to the beach, and close 5th Avenida. Parking was perfect as well. "

"The resort was extremely safe, family friendly activities, good dining options with an amazing breakfast buffet. Bottled water is brought daily…however I do recommend bringing your own sunscreen as the gift shop is very pricey. I ran out and had to purchase more in the gift shop and it was approx $43USD. My kids had a wonderful time, pool was great along with ATV rides and snorkeling. Coffee shop has the best coffee."

Tambien esta contiguo a la 5ta avenida y tienes la playa a pasos. El parqueo es first come firat served perp esta preciosisimo! Me fascina y el desayuno esta incluido lo cual es un plus. "

"Have been there many times. The staff is great. Always happy to help. Beach area and the water is very nice. The food is good, omelets every morning for me. Admittedly the proprty is a little old and they are constantly trying to maintain it. Have seen some negative comments before. My thought is you get what you pay for and El Cozumeleño is always a great deal!"

"I liked their spacious, clean rooms with microwave and fridge included, everthing was great except the beds, beds were too hard and its important to have a comfortable bed to get a good night rest"

"Was checked in after going to the other hotel very confused because both have similar name web page is same . This bigger hotel has no hot water and more noise at night then the smaller one on 5 th . I like the smaller cleaner has hot water . "

"The location of the hotel is great, in a more quiet part of the fifth street, very close to good restaurants and beach. The staff is generally great, except for the breakfast team. Unfortunately the breakfast is not great at all, very limited, and the breakfast staff is flat-out rude and have no standards for service. Would not recommend to pay extra for daily breakfast, the hotel should focus more on the rooms and guest service instead of trying to upsell breakfast, if this is not a priority."

"First time at an All inclusive. Well worth it! This is a wonderful family friendly place! Lots of activities, good food and all you can drink whatever it may be. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It was nice to be so far from town and not deal with the cruise ship crouds but we had to take a taxi to get places. A small tip goes a long way! They all greatly appreciate it! Great value and highly recommend!"

"We had a great time. The lunch buffet was kind of limited but everything was good. The Italian and Mexican restaurants were great. Thanks Sarai for the Marquesitas! The drinks were OK. The house wine was great. The pool and beach were wonderful. But most of all the staff was excellent! There was a little crowd that made our stay really special...
