"I don't believe the Expedia site should offer this hotel at this time It does Otley and the hotel staff, both lovely, no favours. It was not a well placed room, it was overly hot without cooling, the bathroom although modern let itself down in the shower particularly. It did not have a restaurant nor kitchen in use and was severely understaffed. Our pre requests could not be met. I am sad to give a poor review, as the staff were wonderful. "Disappointed not to be able to get a treatment at the spa, despite it being advertised- the girls had gone home for the day. Also had to walk to the spa to find this out- couldn't book through hotel reception. Good breakfast and room clean enough but could probably do with an upgrade as it looked tired."

"We only had 1 night stay and it was great. The building has history and character just like Harrogate itself. Check-in was very quick, we had a parking space reserved which was brilliant. The room we had was on the 2nd floor and was adequate for our needs a double bed which was comfy. The amenities for coffee/tea including biscuits was good. The bathroom had a shower over the bath with toiletries in bottles on the wall. Plenty of towels. Good size all round even when it was listed as a cosy double when booking. The breakfast was good value with a fantastic choice of hot/cold buffet with cooked to order eggs of your choice. Overall definitely would return. Good value for a visit."

"The room was spacious with a good amount of storage whilst the room did not have air conditioning it was cool and a comfortable temperature, which to say it was 30 degrees outside was good. There was a fan available, but we didn't need to use it. Room was clean and the bathroom was acceptably clean. There was however slight mould spots on some of the grouting and sealant in the shower. It was quiet and peaceful. The building and communal rooms were wonderful. They felt very classy in keeping with the exterior if the building. The aura and atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The live keyboard player who sang smooth jazz music added to the ambiance. The staff were all friendly, patient, very helpful, curteous, and professional. They are a credit to the hotel. The food was gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing, whilst a buffet, the food was fresh and not dried out at all. We arrived 40 mins before the end of services and there was still the full range of items on the menu. The evening meal was a set menu with a choice of one or two courses. We would have preferred a single meal, but that was not an option. For us the selection for each course was a bit limited, and didn't match our tastes. However the meals we selected it were superb. Other dinners nearby that we interacted with, also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The standard was very high. Check in and out was easy, and can be done independently or by the staff. You need to pay for parking, but there are plenty of bays."

"As we arrived the reception staff were very helpful. Family room was spacious and clean. Nice location by the canal and a short walk in to the town of Skipton. Evening entertainment was very good and the bar was very nice. If we're ever up there again we'd definitely stay again."
