"Honest review the apartments looked a lot nicer on the site. It was giving student vibes but I must say the staff were really great and upgraded us and the accommodation was better. The spa and pool was great and a fab view I couldn’t fault."

"At check-in we were given a key card & pointed to the lifts, no information was given about the hotel facilities (we were not even told where breakfast would be served). There was no information in the room either (except a room service menu) where I would normally expect to find some, either as hard copy or available on TV. The bathroom was hopeless - lighting was totally inadequate, the brightest lighting being directly above the bath, which was behind you when standing at the sink and trying to use the mirror above it and therefore left one's face in shadow. although there were lights above the sink area they were so dim as to be no help. Also, on Day2 we returned from a day out to find the bath (which we had not yet used) contained sludge, which must have come up through the plug hole. We tried to charge a meal taken at the Vicinity restaurant (within the hotel) to our room as I would have expected to be able to do, but we were told it was not possible because our room account was not set up for credit, although we had never been asked or offered the chance to do this. As a result we were unable to benefit from the promised discount on food and drink charges obtainable by declining the servicing of our room. In summary, not impressed especially at the prices charged. The only positive was the view of London Bridge, especially when it was being raised."

"The room was clean overall, but I experienced a few issues during my stay. There was a very loud water noise in the room, and the TV was not working on the first night. When I contacted reception, I was informed that no maintenance staff was available overnight and that I would need to wait until the next day. Eventually, around 11 PM, I requested and received a room change. Otherwise everything was perfect. Location was amazing with thames river view and 2 minutes walking to Bus stop."

"The check-in staff were fantastic, particularly the girl whose name I believe started with G. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, truly a valuable asset to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a lovely menu and prompt service. My room was well-equipped but the carpet was badly stained which left a negative impression. Will be back again . "

"The hotel is very new, so everything works, and is clean. The rooms are tiny but well laid-out and organized. The floor is hard, no carpet. This is very good. No smell, no stains. The beds were comfortable. There was no noise, we slept really well. The breakfast is magnificent and plentiful. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, a particular shout-out to Maria F., who was really kind to us at check-in and check-out. Location is great."

"Great hotel, convenient location right near a bus stop that took us to all the attractions we wanted to see. The rooms are small but very clean and exactly what we needed. The breakfast for £8 was delicious and we really enjoyed the unlimited tea and coffee options available. Would stay here again!"

"Although a great location and good value for money I was bitterly disappointed at the ibis London City hotel. The reception staff on the night shifts were extremely unprofessional, chaotic and quite rude. Hema particularly was exceptionally rude. The staff gave my colleague a key to my room which was totally unacceptable for any hotel to do and my colleague walked into my room late at night. Fortunately it was a colleague of mine and not a random person but extremely poor. The night security manager was also extremely unprofessional and made you feel uncomfortable coming into the hotel any time they were working in reception. Extremely poor level of service! "
