This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. "We stayed in the Badger View cottage while visiting family in Meopham. It’s a secluded and very comfortable cottage, and the owners couldn’t be nicer. Great place to stay if you’re looking for a well-appointed cottage with a relaxed feel and superb views. Three Shetland Ponies, three chickens, two dogs, and more squirrels and magpies than you can count! There are also badgers and foxes that come out in the evening, but we only saw one fox. Fantastic place to stay, and we hope to return sometime...
