Clean rooms and friendly staff

Beautiful hotel and our room. In the heart of Old Quarters, very walkable to everything. Great roof-top bar/restaurant. Breakfast spread each day was fantastic. Hotel staff, (especially want to call out Ngan Phan) was friendly and helpful. Ngan took care of special requests to perfection and had great recommendations.

Meritel Hanoi is a beautiful hotel, with top notch service. However, the air conditioning kept going out in our room though the staff was quick to get it up and running again every time it went out. We also experienced ants in our sink, but again the staff was very prompt in getting it fixed. The Meritel advertises that it has soundproofed rooms, but this is not the case. You will be able to hear the room next to you as well as the city outside (thought it is very quiet at night so as long as...

Great location, staff, and rooftop bar!

This hotel is situated within walking distance to many interesting tourist and local spots. The staff here are extremely kind and helpful. Room cleanups are just excellent. Upon my last day of checkout, the staff knew I didn't have breakfast so they surprisingly prepared a small breakfast box that I could take with me to the airport and also a small gift of Vietnamese coffee! I would stay here again.

The location, service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. However the location also means a lot of noise on the weekends as Hanoi parties around the same location and lots of noise when the platforms are dismantled Sunday night into early Monday mornings. Would recommend ear plugs be kept in all front facing rooms and guests be told about it so they can switch rooms to a back facing one especially if you have early morning Monday flights. Staff was amazing, they even helped me after check out. Room was very clean and nice. A little bit loud at night but that’s is to be expected in the city. We were generously given earplugs in our room to help.

Staffs are great from manager Grace pay attentions to guests in details plus supporting personnel such as Luna & Eddie made my stay a memorable. I will be back again.

The staff at the hotel are amazing- they go above and beyond! I’ve traveled the world and stayed in many hotels around it. Nothing has compared to the staff here, not even at a Ritz or Shangri La!

You could travel the rest of your life and not find more friendly, and helpful staff - all who are ready to go the extra mile for you. The location is in the heart of all the activity of the Old Hanoi Quarter. An easy walk to cafes, restaurants and shopping. Comfortable beds, a very pleasant breakfast experience. On my next trip, I won't even consider staying anywhere else.
