"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

This is beautiful place to stay for a night or even longer. The farm market in the service station across from the hotel is awesome too. I will definitely be back.

There are not enough stars nor points to give this hotel! It is perfectly placed near the Lakes, but not so close as to be crowded. Our room was lovely, with all the right touches and amenities: great shower, comfy bed, and REAL COFFEE! The included breakfast is fantastic, and do not miss the restaurant (we ate there 3 times in 2 days), as the food is superb! Every staff member we encountered was delightful. We would go out of our way to stay there again!

Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been...

Hazel, Ian and Auntie Chris were wonderful hosts. We had a shared bathroom that was no problem. Beautiful old manse with attractive, professionally gardened grounds. Room was like out of a movie. Orchids, fresh flowers, beautifully furnished and kept. Bathroom was huge with upscale amenities. Royal Worchestershire china and nicknacks. Breakfast included and fit for royalty. Hazel has done well with this property and is a gracious hostess that works very hard to keep the guests happy. Ian is a...

After a busy week exploring Scotland, my boyfriend and I decided to make a stop for a couple of day in the quiet town of Windermere to get some rest and relaxation before continuing onto our busy adventures down in London. What a lovely hotel with such good energy. There’s a serenity to this place. I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities from a swim in the pool, hot sauna, hanging out in the terrace and dinner at The Living Space. The property itself is beautifully designed. A place to stroll and soak in the peacefulness. After dinner I took such a stroll and while everyone else was dining I was able to spend some time on the tree swings by myself. During the day the swings were occupied by children, and why wouldn’t...

The hotel was beautiful and the outside scenery was amazing. I loved seeing the cows when I woke in the morning and the garden was awesome. I would stay here again if I were in this area.
