"I must say, I travel quite a bit and the Grand Hotel du Lac in Hanoi was spectacular. Gorgeous lobby, rooms and eating area. Yet what is even more amazing about this Hotel is the staff. Everyone speaks perfect English and is extremely courteous and helpful. Lily and Jack were especially instrumental in helping me navigate around the city. They added me to a WhatsApp chat and were extremely accommodating, responsive and easy to get a hold of, calling me cabs several times. They negotiated with the can driver on my behalf and when I didnt have time to go back to the hotel day of my return they arranged to have my luggage sent to the airport and coordinated so it showed up exactly when I arrived. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Hanoi, look no further. Love this place and all the staff!"

"This hotel was brilliant very cheap rooms are lovely clean and very pleasent free WiFi everywhere in hotel flat screen TV. But the best thing about hotel is the staff my husband and I have visited more than 40 countries and stayed in 5* to your basic guest house but never have we come across such helpful professional staff ever. It was our first time in Vietnam we told the staff what we wanted to see and they arranged everything for us getting us brilliant prices on all trips. When we travelled to Sapa on overnight train the hotel arranged for member of staff to come to train station and make sure we got on right train, over and above helpfulness.I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Had a great stay here. Perfect location. Staff is top level. I had an issue the first night and the next day they caught me as I was leaving for the day and asked if they can go in the room. I came back and everything was fixed. The staff themselves are all super friendly and very welcoming. I’ll miss my morning chats with the front desk manager. She was amazing. Full of tips and recommendations. They even got me a cake for when I was leaving. Also the bed was the best bed my entire trip throughout Vietnam. Will deff come back here if I were to return to Hanoi. "

"This is a lovely boutique hotel with in a great location. We stayed here three separate times during our trip in Vietnam. We found the rooms to be comfortable, clean and decent in size. We use the eooftop pool almost everyday to cool off during our stay in April and May. We also enjoyed their rooftop bar several times at night. Their restaurant on site during dinner was absolutely fabulous. We dined there four times ...... the food, selection, presentation, venue and service were over the top and highly recommended. What makes this hotel even better is truly their staff. Everyone is extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location is also very attractive as it's only two blocks from Train Street and a few more blocks to Old Quarters. There are lots of eateries in the area, a pharmacy, just a few doors down and right around the corner is a laundry service keeping everything extremely convenient. Highly recommend!"
