"This hotel was listed as 4 star. The decor is WW2 era. Not what I've seen in other 4-5 star hotels. The rooms are clean but again very spare and dated. The breakfast is just the basics nothing special. The staff is kind and helpful. I appreciate all they did with arranging an early morning taxi and storing my luggage. It's situated in a beautiful historic area but there are no restaurants close by (walking distance). The pool is a nice perk especially since the temp was 98-100 degrees. It's quiet and off the beaten track."

"We had a wonderful stay at Torre del Castello. The location is perfect, making it easy to enjoy the surrounding area while still having a comfortable and peaceful place to return to. The property was exactly as described, clean, spacious, and very well maintained. The accommodations were comfortable, welcoming, and provided everything we needed for a great stay. Air Conditioning could be better, though functioning, it barely cooled the room. The check-in and check-out experience was superb. The service was professional, smooth, and very helpful from beginning to end, making the entire experience even better. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Torre del Castello to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay."

"The staff was accommodating, and the location was amazing. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower temperature and pressure was good. However, our room had a sewage scent immediately upon entering that did not abate. I will still give this location 4 stars because the staff moved me to a new room when I alerted them to the issue. Upon reading other reviews and researching online, I think that the sewage smell was from a drainage issue that is common in old buildings in Florence—it was not a cleanliness issue on the hotel’s part."
