This property is fantastic if your desire is to go to a laid back property and have a relaxing but fun time. It is not packed with party hungry 18 year olds. We noticed the guests were mostly couples and friend trips made up of ladies or couples. While they say tips are not expected, they really are. We were looking for a small non-resort hotel on the beach where we could relax peacefully, and Petit Lafitte is exactly that. As soon as we arrived at Lafitte we were welcomed home by the desk staff and concierge. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and made us feel comfortable, and were more than willing to help make our stay a very pleasant one. Spent a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very nice, super clean and new, great amenities, loved the decor, had a nice ocean view on the fifth floor. Location was great, walking distance to fifth avenue and restaurants and shops. Ate breakfast at the hotel, their chilaquiles were excellent! I would not hesitate to stay here again for a convenient short stay and would definitely recommend to others. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all great!

Hotel Lunata is a gem situated on Playa del Carmen's charming 5th Avenue, and one block from Playa's main beach. Unassuming from the outside, what awaits inside is more of the same, but with a minimal, spa-like feel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas are clean and inviting. The location can feel a bit suspect at night , though not threatening, but this gives way to a pleasant and almost park-esque mood during the day. A great value I doubt can be beat in PDC.

This place is Heaven on Earth! Our original trip was supposed to be for 5 days and we had to extend 4 more day (awww poor us LOL) due to bad weather at DFW (worst ice/snow storm to hit DFW in 72 years). We had room 818 beautiful! We had a private pool and our own Butler David just moments from the beach bar and beach. When we had to extend we got room 909 right on the beach! No pool but did I mention right on the beach! American style hotel. Cleaning service every day, very well taken care of, comfortable bed. The room had everything I needed! The rooftop pool and lounge was amazing. The location is super close to shops and stores, and a few minutes walk from the beach. Felt very safe and secure.

The TRS Yucatan was part of a larger group of related hotels on a very large beautiful beach and jungle property. The butlers at our villa, especially Emilio, were very welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to the many facets of the resort. The transportation cart service was quick and the drivers very friendly.....though by following the seaside/beach everything was also very walkable. Food was excellent....green juice at Helios was my favorite!
