"Rooms are very spacious. Mostly stone and granite. No nasty carpet. We really liked the large shower. The room was well stocked with drinks and snacks. The activity team was very good. They are friendly and energetic. There are so many activities to enjoy. Note there is a lot of the sargassum seaweed which prevented turquoise waters but much of the Yucatán peninsula has this issue. Beach still usable. Bring nice clothes for dinner as a dress code applies. We enjoyed the Asian, Indian, Spanish and French restaurants. Food is very good but not amazing. Some dishes were awesome. Loved the coffee shop by concierge."

"My husband and I traveled to Cancun for a wedding. When I made the reservation- I goofed and put the wrong dates! The original dates that I selected had us leaving on the day of the wedding! As you can, imagine, I was in pure panic mode to try and fix this. I booked through Expedia and my initial attempt at trying to correct the date were denied by the resort. I was devastated. I decided to call the resort and speak to someone myself. When I called, I asked to speak to someone in reservations and eventually got a manager - Evelia. I explained to her my predicament and how thankful I would be if she would allow a change to my reservation. She agreed to make the change but the room I had initially booked, the swim out room, she said was no longer available. And that she could not guarantee that I would have that room when I arrived. At that point, it was more important to be there for the wedding than fight over what room we had. So I graciously accepted it. When we arrived at the resort, the check-in process was so easy! Our reservation was updated and we were given the room we originally booked! Weight staff, especially the bartenders… We’re extremely friendly, helpful, and funny! The property was beautiful, and my husband and I were able to enjoy our vacation."

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive

"Great stay at Ventus Ha. Family of 4 staying in a double double bedroom. Room was large enough for us and the double sinks outside the toilet and shower meant everything was more convenient. The staff were brilliant, massive shout out to Elvis (breakfast at A’akat) and Jorge (Waves Bar) who went above and beyond. We loved that the other two hotels were available, the pools there were much louder and busier, whereas the Ventus Ha pool was more tranquil. The food was really good, the lunch buffet had some great choice. Make sure you get to Kobo the teppenyaki restaurant. Downsides: it’s not a beach resort and it’s not particularly close to nearby amenities. Also could do with ice creams at poolside bar, but my waistline wouldn’t thank me for saying it. For the jumpy: there are wild crocodiles at the back of the resort (behind secure fences) and we bumped in to lizards and raccoons daily. The downstairs rooms at Ventus are covered by foliage, get an upper room if you can, suspect it’s pretty dark on floors 1&2."

"Everything was great! Hotel was clean, food was great! Waterslides were so much fun! Pools were all great. Drinks were all tasty. Rooms very clean and frequent room cleaning. Expedia team on site were great! Thank you Maria for all help. Overall a great vacation!"
