"Everything about this resort was fantastic. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted and welcomed by the very passionate staff who will gather your luggage and place them in a secured holding zone until check in. We arrived around 10:00am and check in time was not until 3:00pm. The concierge handed us towel cards and VIP cards that came with our specific room. We were able to enjoy every amenity on the property including the restaurants, buffet, pool, beach, and bars while we waited for check in. This trip was for me and my wife’s anniversary, in which the staff made very special for us with a personalized banner to put over our suit door, a bottle of champagne, and plate of chocolate strawberry’s with “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate on the plate. The best restaurant was Azul, an Asian influenced menu. I would rate 7.9/10, the Italian would be second best (7.5/10) followed by the Mexican restaurant (7/10) and ending with the buffet (6/10). It is as good as you would expect dining for masses (think of cruise cuisine). Room was very clean, the bed was decent. The AC is very cold, but I am a warm body and woke up every day sweating. The only complaint I have is the very persistent sales people at the beach that hound you to purchase whatever they’re selling. The masseuses can also be a bit pushy to get bookings. It does get a bit agitating especially when you are just wanting relax and enjoy the beach and/or pool. Total overall resort rating 9.8/10. Will return !"

"This resort was very clean. Staff were amazing and nice. This is a party hotel, so if you don’t like parties or loud music this won’t be the place for you. We brought our 2 children and we had no problems with noise when our sound machine was on in the room. But we were not over the “riu party pool”. Expedia gives an Option for “2 queen beds” this resort only has king bed options or 2 fulls. We were a little disappointed we didn’t have 2 queens, but it worked out. The food and drinks were good! Highly recommend getting travel insurance, our toddler had a respiratory emergency and we got care from the doctor at the resort as well as the emergency room in Cancun."

"Our whole experience at this resort was terrible and we will not be going back. Upon our arrival we checked in an hour early and they said our room wasn’t available which obviously understandable as it was an hour early, but then when we came back an hour later to get our room, it still wasn’t available so we walked out to the beach for another 30 minutes and then came back at their recommendation. The lobby was then full of a bus full of people, so we spoke with the concierge at that point about our room situation. He proceeded to tell us that our swim up suite room would not be available at that night due to it being overbooked but would be the following day for the remainder of our stay. We were very unhappy about this as we had booked 6 months in advanced and it was for our honeymoon. All the staff was very unfriendly and later upon talking to other Americans staying there, stated they were having the same experience with the staff, however the staff appeared to treat others differently. The only staff that was friendly were the security. The room we booked had a pool attached to the rooms that was supposed to be adults only but frequently there was families with children in the pool and would often place their items on our patios and sit in the chairs. We specifically booked the room due to it being adult only along with the pool, again because we were there for our honeymoon. There were plenty of other pools and places for families to be on the resort."

"If your looking for a location with a pool with a DJ from 1pm-8pm playing pop/house/edm/hip hop with swim up bar and rentable cabanas rooftop infinity pool with a grill making burgs tenders and lemon pepper fries , then walk down to activity pool trivia volleyball yoga swim Up bar cabanas , then 10 more steps to a full beach with swimable water jet skis and all the. This is your place food is just ok , hibachi. With lobster is well worth the $80 PP . Room service is prompt and nice but food could be better and they don’t use the privacy bin even when requested. . 8/10 will go back again , great for birthdays but would pick something less party for a honeymoon ."
