We had an incredible experience at Porto Playa. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and comfortable. The room was gorgeous. We had the penthouse so it was HUGE with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We had room to spread out and have our own space. The pool is gigantic and so nice to swim in and the hot tubs are also lovely. The staff was so friendly and gracious. It was a pretty slow week so we had the place mostly to ourselves and it was very quiet. I will definitely return.

We stayed for 6 wonderful nights in a 2BR penthouse. Staff were wonderful, A/C and WiFi worked great. The kitchen had just about everything you could need. Bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms very nice. The public spaces were always well maintained. We loved all of the furnished outdoor spaces, 2 on the main level and the amazing rooftop patio with a hot tub, BBQ, palapa and ocean views! Book a penthouse and you will not be disappointed....Word of warning though, there are a LOT...

This is such a great location to base your time in Playa out of. Yea, there are a couple clubs down the street so if your are sensitive to bass then it might not be for you. Then again most of Playa might not be for you. This is a bustling downtown location. But honestly we didn’t have any issues with noise. It’s noticeable yes but you can sleep just fine. It's close to everything!! The rooms are spacious, the beds are huge, and it's very quiet and relaxing. The beach nearby is nothing to get excited about but Lester referred us to Kool Club just a few blocks away and we spent our days there by the pool & beach, well attended by the staff. The only bad thing I have to say is the wifi never works and they should stop advertising that they have it. If you go on vacation to get away from all that like I do, it's not a big problem. Property was great! The large central pool was very clean and fun to play in. 2 restaurants located on site. Easy access to the beach. Beach was very clean when we got there and then became full of seaweed the last couple days we were there. It really all depends on weather and currents as to how bad the beaches will be. Our stay was great, we loved the apartment and the decoration, it made us feel comfortable. It was also amazing that there was free parking available.

I stayed for 3 weeks at Hotelito del Mar and highly recommend it! It’s perfect for a long term stay with kitchen and separate bedroom so it feels like an apartment. The rooftop is really nice and the staff were lovely. I wanted to be away from the busy centro so I really liked the location. Great stay!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The room was very spacious and well decorated. We are very grateful to the hotel staff, they all made every effort so we could have an enjoyable stay. Location was perfect to enjoy the beach as well as downtown Playa. Price was very convenient. We strongly recommend this hotel

Great property and deal. A few blocks from the beach and just far enough off the touristy track to be chill without being out of the way.

We spent our honeymoon in one of the larger beach front rooms 13 years ago (when the hotel was part of the Blue Parrot) and have been going back ever since. There was previously a noise problem with the nearby bars, but we didn't hear a peep out of them the entire trip this time. I think this is a combination of less noise from the bars and new sliding room doors that are double pane and better insulating. Very clean and well maintained hotel. Staff is without compare. This was our 5th time here. We absolutely love this resort. The food is fantastic, the drinks are fabulous. The staff is so friendly. Our favorite was Roberto, he served us breakfast and we saw him again while eating our pizza. Loved the fact that he remembered us from last year too. Such a happy and pleasant atmosphere, wherever we go. The entertainment at night was incredible ( the acrobatic show). We would go to the Martini bar after dinner and try a new martini every night. I didn't know this property automatically charges my card the day of so my bank saw it as a fraud alert and I also didn't recognize it as a expedia purchase because is appeared as sands boutique and not expedia. I cancled my card for no reason. One of the two pools were closed the entire.

We found the Posada Mariposa to be a most enjoyable place to stay in; the staff were superb, the location very convenient without being noisy or too crowded, yet close enough to everything. The staff are a major asset in this hotel and they couldn't have been more helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Playa del Carmen.

Hotel is nice, good location, clean, friendly staff, close to everything . We were very satisfied.

Spacious living room, two balconies, two full bathrooms, 1 bedroom with queen bed, 1 bedroom with king bed, full stocked kitchen with gas stove top. Strong Air Conditioner. Wifi was not working during my stay, very difficult to find since roads have no signs, but overall comfortable and clean.
