"The resort is beautiful, with a majestic lobby, lush grounds and amazing wildlife — cats, raccoons, coatis and even crocodiles! I loved the different connected areas and pools. Our Privilege room was comfortable, with a lovely terrace and jacuzzi. The turndown service, Rituals products, Nespresso and stocked minibar were lovely touches. Privilege was definitely worth it. We loved the peaceful Privilege pool with no music, the AMAZING underwater loungers with massage jets, the beach, complimentary room service and Privilege lounge. I would have loved more variety and snacks throughout the day in the lounge. Food was okay but not memorable for the price. The staff truly made our stay. Yorsi at breakfast went above and beyond to accommodate my restrictive allergies, and Diego Jitzel at the Italian restaurant was wonderfully kind and attentive. And Alan, our butler, was the absolute highlight. Quiet, professional, discreet and incredibly caring, he constantly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. When we had an issue with the spa, he immediately took ownership and resolved it quickly and professionally. He was never intrusive, yet always there when needed. His discretion, energy and level of service were exceptional. Honestly, Alan has all the qualities to work in an even more luxurious hotel. He made us feel truly cared for and is a big reason we will remember this stay so fondly."

"The location was absolutely perfect — just steps from a beautiful stretch of beach and an easy walk into the city where all the shops, bars, and nightlife are. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The hotel itself is modern, chic, and welcoming. Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The only small downside was the courtesy beach bags; despite asking several times, we didn’t receive them until the day before departure. The restaurant options were great, and even with two venues closed, we still enjoyed fantastic meals throughout our stay. Overall, the resort exceeded my expectations. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning."

"I loved my stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen. For anyone considering this resort here is basic information: less than 3 minute walk to 5th Ave, property grounds is clean, lush with trees, flowers, plants, staff on all levels were warm / welcoming and the room suite and spa were clean."

"Love this place if you’re not looking for luxury. It has value though. Was disappointed that I saw an ad that they still had free airport shuttles. That’s not the case anymore. Watch out for mosquitos while in the tree areas and avoid restaurant seating near the trees. Beach is clean and free of sargassum but not great to swim in. Love the adult pool in the select club. Highly recommend booking a snorkeling trip with Scuba Libre on the beach at Sandos. So much fun to swim with Maria the turtle in the wild. I’ve booked diving trips with them too in past visits. I only ate from the buffet as I was a solo traveler for a 4 day stay and love that the food changes somewhat day to day. Al a carte dining has been fantastic in the past too. I would also recommend spending a little more and booking the spa with hydrotherapy, massage and mini facial. My poor old dried up Canadian skin feels 20 years younger!"
