"Great glamping experience! Spacious and comfortable tent. Personal bathroom with shower. Great shared kitchen with small breakfast included. Lots of drinkable water included. Staff were very nice. Only one of the bikes in working condition and the rest were in desperate need of repair. Make sure to bring bug repellant. The pool was not as advertised, but fine. "We loved Casa Caleta! The proximity to YalKu Lagoon for snorkeling was a high point. Our whole party of 11 went a couple of times a day, early and late when the tourists weren’t there. It was magical. Isidro and his wife are wonderful ! We did all our dinners at the house and they were excellent. Isidro is a fine cook! It isn’t possible to walk to Half Moon Bay, but you wouldn’t really want to. The pool was a hit and it was large enough to swim laps. The jungle gym was a fun extra! Be sure to get your QR code to access the property in advance as you can’t get by the guard station without it. All in all, a wonderful stay at Casa Caleta!"

"What a fabulous place! This was our 2nd time in Akumal but our first at La Sirena and we will definitely be back. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is beautiful, and you simply cannot beat the snorkeling on-site (bring water shoes as it's a rocky entry). Despite the many daytrips we planned, we hardly left the lounge chairs on the sargasso-free (!!) beach (except to grab excellent coffee and breakfast at Jungle Cafe just a short walk down the street). This was truly one of our most relaxing vacations - we can't wait to return."

"Que Onda was an outstanding property and we would love to return. The well maintained and beautiful garden contains a pool that is shared with only one other unit. It is an easy walk to Yalku lagoon as well as the reef on Half Moon Bay, or a short bike ride into Akumal. Bikes and snorkeling gear are available for guest use. The unit itself is simply gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice. Note that the Master bedroom is on the 3rd (US definition) floor, but the view from the master patio is well worth it. We were up early each morning to listen to the bird song and watch as the sun rose over the jungle, with peekaboo views of the water. The owners live on site and are so kind and responsive and we truly enjoyed getting to visit with them. Their new undertaking, a small bakery with sourdough bread, pastries and other goodies, was such incredible treat. All of our meals were outside in the garden, which was so lovely and peaceful. We spent 10 days driving around the Yucatan peninsula, taking in as much as we could, but it was Que Onda that we will dream of returning to. "

"We loved everything about this lovely house! Having private access to Yal-Ku Lagoon is amazing. And the pool and the large palapa are terrific. We especially loved the local wildlife that walks through the yard- so cool! It’s a short two minute walk to the new bakery at Que Onda (we had hot sourdough every morning)- icing on the cake. Highly recommend renting a golf cart- it made getting around so much fun. "
