They made us wait for 3 hours to check in past check in time as they had not checked their emails for our booking. "We stayed at Corto Maltes for a week, starting 7/8/13, room 204. The place has "good bones" but needs some upkeep to be really top-notch. A new coat of paint would be a start. This is a condo that is rented out by the owners and managed by the staff at El Faro - those folks were pleasant but did not solve some of the issues that needed attention. "We loved everything about this resort! All of the restaurants were a delicacy. The beach was beautiful and about a 5 minute walking distance from our hotel room. Our room was clean and beautiful with an amazing view. There are activities and events to do every night. From karaoke, vendors, shows, to bowling and a night club. Alberto Meneses is a supervisor at the resort and he was amazing. He helped us book our reservations for the restaurants and was very sweet and helpful in every way. He was definitely the best. The steak house was great and i recommend trying the prime rib, it was extremely good. Angie Alvarado was very sweet and helpful. She offered us tickets to attend the chefs dinner and I am grateful she did. The chefs dinner was a magical dinner that i will never forget. The 5 course dinner includes amazing food made by their a talented chefs. Definitely recommend! Love love love this resort and we will definitely be back!!! "
