Loved this resort! It was quiet and restful. Having the ability to go to the sister resorts for additional food options, entertainment, and spas was an amazing treat and bonus. They provided transportation but it was literally a 4 minute walk on the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Just a fabulous experience.

Technically this wasn't a vacation, it was our honeymoon. I found this place on some Google list of top 10 most romantic honeymoon spots and it did not dissapoint. The grounds are beautiful. We were looking for a small non-resort hotel on the beach where we could relax peacefully, and Petit Lafitte is exactly that. Spent a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very nice, super clean and new, great amenities, loved the decor, had a nice ocean view on the fifth floor. Location was great, walking distance to fifth avenue and restaurants and shops. Ate breakfast at the hotel, their chilaquiles were excellent! I would not hesitate to stay here again for a convenient short stay and would definitely recommend to others. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all great!

This is a great, little resort. The beach is, in my opinion, is one of the best in the area. It is white and powdery. The staff rakes it each morning so there are no rocks or debris. There could be more beach chairs, but the staff work very hard to assure that you get a chair. My room was perfectly located within walking distance to the beach. This hotel is beautiful! Beds are comfortable and the rooms, views, and roof top pool are extraordinary. I loved the feel of the property and it provides a very personalized experience. Beautiful location. Comfortable room, as advertised in pictures. Wonderful community feel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Only downside was that there was a club nearby that was blasting music at night and we could really feel the bass. Made it hard to fall sleep.

This property is fantastic if your desire is to go to a laid back property and have a relaxing but fun time. It is not packed with party hungry 18 year olds. We noticed the guests were mostly couples and friend trips made up of ladies or couples. While they say tips are not expected, they really are. This was our 5th visit to Esencia. We got married here 4 years ago and keep coming back. It is the perfect balance of understated beauty with warm, impeccable service (and the MOST delicious food). The new owner is really taking care to maintain the uniqueness of the property, while also making improvements. New furniture, new bath products, updated menus are just a few. The changes are lovely. We cannot say enough how special Esencia is. We recommend it to everyone we know.

The TRS Yucatan was part of a larger group of related hotels on a very large beautiful beach and jungle property. The butlers at our villa, especially Emilio, were very welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to the many facets of the resort. The transportation cart service was quick and the drivers very friendly.....though by following the seaside/beach everything was also very walkable. Food was excellent....green juice at Helios was my favorite!
