"The staff here make it so amazing! It is an older resort and they have updated some things. The sidewalk around the outer buildings like 7 and 8 is really broken up. Can easily twist an ankle. Food was really good, not "foodie" good but we had no trouble finding something yummy. Blue Moon steak, excellent! The sushi at the Japanese restaurant delish, ate there 4 nights. Mexican restaurant also great. There are 4 restaurants and buffet + coffee shop and sports bar and lunch time pizza near the pool! Drinks are plentiful and they are very accommodating to cocktails they don't know or make often. The beach was beautiful and they do a great job of cleaning up the seaweed. Our room was large and had Ocean view as a bonus! But again, the staff are what make this resort unforgettable! Huge shout out to all the staff whose names I didn't get and special thank you to Yovanneti, My Sweet, she rocks that outdoor service area like a SuperStar!! I drank Gin Manhattans at breakneck speed! Pool bar team Eber, Fabian, Miguel my Gin and Tonics were always full! Jorge, Ocatvio and Jose in the lobby made some delicious Negronis and Espresso Martinis! Fabian also took great care of us at the Sushi restaurant, what a sweetheart! Adrian and Angel gave great pool service! Kendall and the entertainment team have more energy than any other resort we have been to, and they've all been good, but this team...WOW! And our housekeeper Ineida kept our room looking immaculate! Thank you all!!!"

"This is my fourth stay at the Barcelo resort. The facility is beautiful and very comfortable. I'll definitely be coming back, thanks to their excellent service and great atmosphere! We were served every day by Helinda, Ismail, Belisario at Coco bar who were charming and very good professionals, making cocktails according to our preferences. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Book dinners in specialty restaurants very easy, We enjoyed the food in Mare Nostrum as well as in Tokio restaurant. Very comfortable and beautiful rooms well cleaned and restocked daily. I am of the opinion that enabling check in online would speed up the check in process, in my opinion the process is a bit slow upon arrival. And another small complaint that the beds in the rooms are for replacement."

"This resort was beautiful!! We loved our stay and the staff was nothing short of fantastic! My only complaint was that the food starts to taste all the same after a bit, but honestly what do you expect from an all inclusive? But it was not bad at all, the pool food was a bit questionable but the restaurant’s weren’t bad at all! My one complaint would be that it is hard to get a reservation at the restaurant’s! And we are here during off season, so I can’t imagine what it would be like in peak season! Overall review would be a 8.5/10 and I would definitely come back!"
