"Overall, not bad and a good choice for families, but there are several areas that need improvement.
The resort is very family-friendly, and we enjoyed our stay overall. However, the restaurants and bars were disappointing.
The main swim-up bar (Mermaid Bar) was consistently understaffed, with what appeared to be only one bartender working throughout the day. I honestly never managed to order a drink there. The bartender seemed overwhelmed, rarely made eye contact, and often didn’t acknowledge guests waiting at the bar. Even after standing there for quite a while, I was never able to place an order. The drinks I had elsewhere at the resort were also below average.
Another downside was that you cannot order food while at the pool. Every time my kids wanted lunch, I had to walk over to Tides, order food to go, and carry the plates all the way back to the pool myself. I never imagined I’d be delivering lunch to my kids at an all-inclusive resort. It completely took away from the poolside experience and felt like a major inconvenience.
Most of the restaurants were only open on alternating days, and reservations were not accepted (except for the hibachi restaurant). As a result, expect to wait around an hour for dinner during peak times.
The hibachi restaurant technically takes reservations, but they open at 1:00 PM and are usually fully booked within a minute. If you want a reservation, be prepared to refresh the app and count down from 12:59 PM. Otherwise, you will most like"
